Despite the fact that most stores are starting to stock spring merchandise and my personal growing hatred for cold weather, there are still weeks left of winter. It's easy to let your style slump as the temperatures plummet but I won't go down without a fight. Now's the time for a stylish winter wardrobe refresh.

Can you do me a favor? For a moment let's just pretend it's beautiful spring weather. The kind of day where the grass is just starting to grow again and is the brightest hue, where the birds are cheerfully chirping in their nests and the sun is shining just enough that you only need a light coat. Now this is the perfect outfit for that day (or if you happen to live in Palm Beach).  Oh and yes, I still am obsessing over scallops... you caught me!

I live for feminine little details so a touch of scallops are a no brainer for me. While they're been longstanding in interiors I've lately been finding them on dress, shoes and even jewelry. With the chevron overload of past seasons I think a soft scalloped edge is a refreshing new spin, don't you?

I won't lie to you, January is my favorite month! It marks new beginnings but mainly I favor January because it's my birthday month. Call me crazy but all I've been dreaming about are the "Bean boots". Sure they aren't as glamourous as a pair of Loubs but they're an American classic and a cold weather staple. Imagine when the snow starts falling pulling on these over your trusted skinnies and pairing with a cozy sweater for cold weather chic. Yes, winter can look good... so good!
