Pumped Up Kicks

Ever since I first laid eyes on the wedged sneaker last fall I've been intrigued. I mean, the height of a heel but the comfort of a sneaker? Too good to be true, right? Personally, I've never been a sneaker girl. I even prefer the workouts that don't involve them. Hello Lithe and Balletone! But still six months later I catch myself trying these guys on at the Bloomies shoe department. And just when I decide they're "fugly" I see an image like this...

Music Monday

Here's what will be on repeat in the office this week...

Confession, I think I'm addicted to Zumba. Or addicted to zumba-ing to "Feel This Moment".

Can one of my ex-boyfriends feel this much remorse and seronade me with "When I Was Your Man"? Or better yet, can Burno Mars be my ex- boyfriend?

"I Will Wait", what's not catchy about a good ol' banjo?

Pursuit of the Pink Blazer

During the day I usually am pretty casual in skinny jeans and riding or come summer in a printed maxi. However, for client meetings I like to raise the professionalism up a bit with a great blazer. But don't get me wrong, you'll never find me in a full on black suit. After all, I do work with quite fashionably clients not stuffy accountants (no offense to them, my boyfriend is one of them).

To keep this pro-fresh look "me" I opt for a bold blazer, preferably in a hue of pink. The brighter, the better really. Last fall I purchased Trina Turk's hot pink blazer and pants and occasionally channel my inner Elle Woods in it, but mostly I wear the blazer as a separate.  Pair it with classic black pants (Ecru's a personal favorite) or skinny jeans and a blouse for a more casual look. I even love pairing my blazer over dresses for that finishing look.  Really, you wouldn't think it, but the hot pink blazer is quite versatile.  A closet staple in book.

Do you have a pink blazer in your wardrobe?

Monogram Me

A styled desk is a happy desk and right now I'm craving some classy monograms. I'd like to make my desk the Jackie O of desks. Or maybe the Lilly Pulitzer? Which ever is more obtainable. You'd be surprised but monogrammed office supplies are much harder to find than monogrammed apparel. After scouring the internet and some of my favorite blogs I've found a pretty selection. Now, what to add to my desk?

Have you found any monogrammed office supplies?
