No that I own a house I've taken it upon myself to become more domesticated. I've got the cleaning, organizing, decorating thing down but the cooking part... now that's a whole other story! I think the issue comes down to the fact that I don't enjoy cooking nor have I ever been a foodie. This girl would much rather eat grilled cheese and macaroni any day over fancy foods.

Despite my lack of interest I'm genuinely making a conscious effort to try. I celebrated my birthday with a cooking class at Sur la Table learning to make pasta. I learned a lot (yet I still need to try it on my own). The other weekend I also learned to make scones at the beach. Pretty soon I'll be the next Martha Stewart (sans prison, of course)! Wink wink.

What are your summer basics? Mine consist of peplums for a flattering figure, lots of pieces in comfy t-shirt material, espadrilles and of course quirky little characters to entertain and fill my home with. I recently tried on this Joie jacket at Posh Collections and fell in love... I kinda think I need it for traveling. Oh and you guys need to read this book! Full of advice, inspiration and of course juicy little industry secrets.

Besides spending more time with my family and dogs, reading is the one thing I wish I had more time for. I used to read a TON during high school and college. I have a million books under the "notes" section on my iPhone, the list keeps growing and the time keeps dwindling.

Half of these books I've read and highly recommend to any PR, social media or marketing professional, especially you college students always looking for advice. The other half are some of those books on that list. There's some much information and knowledge out there that I'm on a mission to absorb as much of it as I can. What books do you recommend? How do you fit reading into your busy schedule?

Okay, I can't hold it in any longer! I'm finally taking a vacation. And not just a weekend in Avalon kind of vacation, but a 8 hour flight, week + journey across the "pond" as they call it in London. Yupp, Piqued PR is taking a trip to London AND Sicily.
